Street dogs are visible everywhere, but their sufferings aren’t, whether it's emotional or physical. “They eat, survive, and die on the streets as if they were never present,” says 42-year-old Parisha Bhatnagar from We Positive Care Chitragupt Foundation.
Parisha has been lifting broken, bleeding, abandoned dogs from the streets for the past 20 years. What began with treating dogs she found on the streets has led to people contacting her for help with the voiceless souls. It slowly turned into something bigger than she thought.
Today, her organisation, We Positive Care Chitragupt Foundation, shelters 280+ dogs, many of them battling cancer, paralysis, tumors, liver disease, kidney failure, or severe trauma. She has rescued more than 2,000 dogs over the years without proper medical and care facilities.

People keep them when they’re beautiful. The moment illness shows, they’re left behind,” says Parisha.
Many dogs in her shelter were once pets — abandoned when cancer, tumors, or paralysis made treatment expensive. Saving them isn’t simple. Surgeries, ICU care, and medicines cost more than she can afford, and for six months, bills have remained unpaid. Some critical dogs don’t even survive the trip to a hospital.
Parisha wants to change that — by building a medical facility where no dog is discarded because healing is costly.

Not Just a Shelter, But a Medical Sanctuary
Right now, accident cases are rising, cancer cases are increasing, and every winter, fragile puppies with weak immunity lose their lives on cold streets. Parisha envisions something far beyond a basic shelter — a structured medical facility with an operation theatre for emergency surgeries, an ICU for critical cases, IPD wards for long-term recovery, isolation areas to control infections, and even a dedicated cancer and tumor ward.
Some cancers cannot be cured, but pain can be managed, and dignity can be protected. Instead of dying in fear and suffering, these dogs could receive treatment, warmth, and compassionate care. This space is not about comfort — it is about survival, medical support, and giving abandoned animals a real fighting chance.

A Future That Must Not Stop
Today, over 280 dogs depend entirely on Parisha for survival. Emergency cases arrive almost every week. Medicines are expensive. Infrastructure is incomplete. Funds are limited. For 20 years, she has carried this responsibility largely on her own — choosing treatment over comfort, bills over rest, and the lives of helpless animals over everything else. But this mission is now bigger than one person.
What she is trying to build is not temporary relief — it is a permanent medical refuge for the sickest and most ignored dogs. A fully equipped facility with OT and ICU sections, a cancer ward, proper recovery spaces, and life-saving medicines would mean survival instead of silent suffering.
This is about ensuring that the work continues — even beyond her.
Donate now because without urgent support, the medical facility cannot begin, and emergency cases will continue to suffer without critical care.
Because treatment saves lives — and infrastructure makes treatment possible.
